What a tremendous place - a actual 14th century castle with 2 meter thick outside walls and notched ports in the dining room to accomodate crossbow armed defenders! We had a magnificent time during out 2 day stay. The inn-keepers were friendly and absoultely accomodative to all our desires. The on-site suppers were truely prepared and served for a king...and queen. Additionally the castle was 20 minute drives from historic French and Roman sites. Do you want to experience something completly different while you are exploring the French countryside? Then stay here.

Calling this place a hotel almost feels like insulting it! This beautiful castle is in a sleepy village in rural France and is stunning, as is the surrounding area! The couple running the hotel are extreamly friendly and helpful - lovely people! Just a shame we didnt get time to try out the pool - next time!
Nothing, the place was amazing!

The location of this hotel was convenient as it was situated in a scenic village area. The room was well-decorated with beautiful interior design. It had a picturesque view of the stream and it was calm and quiet for a good night's sleep.
These positives were overshadowed by the negative aspects of the hotel. The heating system was inadequate and we were cold throughout our stay.

Authentic medieval experience! the village square had charming cafes, wine shops, and antique stores to explore. the owners were super cool and friendly, ensuring everyone's comfort and helping with bookings. the hotel's outdoor pool and gardens added to the overall charm. A continental breakfast was included, a great way to start the day.
Room was a bit chilly with limited heating options. the bathroom, although it had the potential to be stunning, was a modest partitioned corner with cheap plastic fittings and small towels.

I recently had a delightful stay at a charming hotel in an ancient castle, tucked away in one of the loveliest villages in the region. The hotel itself exudes grandeur and majesty, making me feel like I was transported back in time. The rooms were incredibly spacious, allowing ample space for my party, including a baby. The owners were incredibly accommodating and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the outstanding food served at the hotel's restaurant. The owner, who also happens to be the chef, prepared meals that could easily rival those of a prestigious Michelin-starred restaurant. I was so impressed with the culinary experience that I would gladly return to this hotel solely for the pleasure of indulging in their delectable dinner and breakfast offerings.
No aspects of this hotel could be improved; my stay was flawless.

Staying in a historical castle was a unique experience, full of character and charm. the off, season stay gave us the chance to enjoy the stunning location in peace. the comfortable bed and beautiful room offered great views. the home, made dinner with local wine selection was exquisite. the outdoor pool area and gardens were well, maintained.
The staff at the hotel reception could have been more hospitable and friendly, lacking warmth and attentiveness towards the guests’ needs.
